“Spawn” creator Todd McFarlane confirmed to Nerdist that the upcoming adaptation of Spawn (set up at Blumhouse) will be a dark supernatural horror film, with quote “No Joy”.

Spider-Verse producer/writer Phil Lord advised to a fan on Twitter that if Spider-Verse crosses $200 million domestic box office he would include Japanese Spider-Man in the Spider-Verse sequel.

Spider-Verse co-director Bob Persichetti talked to Collider and said there is at least 10 minutes of fully animated deleted scenes out there.

THR reported that Matt Reeves (Director of 2 Planet of the Apes films) is targeting a November 2019 date to begin shooting The Batman for Warner Bros.. Reeves has confirmed that The Batman is not an origin story or an adaptation of Frank Miller’s Year One comic.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse won Best Motion Picture – Animated, at the 76th Golden Globe Awards.

The “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” spin-off series starring Diego Luna as Cassian Andor is reportedly being scheduled to begin production in October 2019. The series will premiere on Disney+, Disney’s upcoming streaming service.

343 Industries provided an update on the status of Showtime’s live-action Halo series, revealing, per the studio head of Transmedia, that production is moving quickly, and they are talking to potential directors for episodes. Ten episodes of the Halo series have been ordered.

HBO revealed new footage of Game of Thrones final season on a HBO series trailer during the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards.
